SPORTMANSHIP

Sometimes we see things that opposition players, coaches, umpires and spectators do that we don't believe is "sportsmanlike conduct".  We know that it can be hard sometimes, but please take a deep breath and try not to react.  It is not hard for good natured banter to get a little more serious.  If things escalate, there are proper channels to follow and where appropriate, the club has and will use those channels.  Emotional reactions are generally off the mark, and only reflect poorly on you, your team and the club.  It is also hard for us to argue the moral high ground if we are not standing on it.

Sometimes all we can walk away with is with our dignity intact - don't give the opposition that too.  Remember it is only a game!

PARENTAL EXPECTATIONS AT JUNIOR GAMES

A timely reminder to all parents and supporters as the season is about to begin, to please follow the club’s expectations…..

-Let the coaches do their jobs. Support your children and their team as a whole.

-Do not approach the team before, during or after the match and do not coach

 across the fence.

- Do not approach or “bail up” your child’s coach. Any issue should be addressed to the team manager without exception.

- No comments are to be made about or to the umpires and they are never to be  approached. We are looking to set the highest standards in this regard.

Please take time to go to the attached link (see below) to avail yourself of the standards we are trying to set at our club to maximize the benefits and enjoyment of sport.
